What a Privilege to Pray

Today has been a day of learning of many reasons to pray---a friend just lost her dad last evening, two friends who just returned home from serious hospital stays, and one who was taken to the hospital on Oahu for a sudden serious ailment that is affecting her heart. What a privilege it is for us who know the Lord to go to the very throne of grace and ask the Lord to intervene on behalf of these dear friends. We have direct access to the Father who loves his children and wants to bless them with His grace and mercy. He is the Great Physician and the God of all comfort. He can with a touch heal if He so desires, and He can comfort those that need His comfort and peace at a time when they are helpless and unable to pray for themselves. He uses us as His children to be vessels of grace and mercy and comfort to those that He has placed in our path. Let us be faithful to be prayer warriors on behalf of sisters and brothers who need extra support and love and compassion. We may need the same support from them some day.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication let your requests be known to God, and the peace of God which passes all understanding, will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus."

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need."

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Prayerfully lift up those in your sphere of life that need God's grace and mercy, His comfort and compassion!
Sandy

Thank you, Sandy for your prayers on our behalf. He truly is "the God of all comfort" - and He uses His children as vessels of His peace.
